Alternative Education

District 2 Alternative Education has a student-centered philosophy based on the belief that every student desires to learn and to become a responsible person. An alternative education center provides an educational setting for students who have not succeeded in the traditional school setting.

The main objectives of Alternative Education are to engage students in academics as per the Special Education Plan (SEP), to further develop their social and emotional skills as per the SEP, to reintegrate students into the regular school system, and to provide educational experiences not typically found in a traditional school setting.
